Knitting: Coat / Jacket
This all purpose and stylish jacket shows off your knitting talents and lets you indulge in lace, slipped stitches and mosaics. The main body is knitted sideways and the yoke with raglan shaping is knitted all in one. Short rows are used to add shaping to the sides. An excellent combination with Butterfly cotton as it has such great stitch defi...
Knitting: Cardigan
This is a lovely lace cardigan which is worked in one piece to the armholes. The pattern has instructions for both a long and short sleeved version. It is a nice light weight cardigan.
Knitting: Hanging Ornament
Here are a couple of fun Christmas decorations that are easy to make and help you use up some of the leftovers that we can never bring ourselves to throw away!
Knitting: Pullover
This is a very simple but effective pattern that I call the mock cable - knit and purl stitches create a textured pattern which replaces the traditional cables so this is perfect for novice knitters. It is a nice comfortable jumper.
Knitting: Shawl / Wrap
This three colour shawl was originally designed to match the Let’s Knit Gisell vest from Issue 57 August 2012. It is a pretty shawl which could be made from just one colour or a whole rainbow of leftovers! The lace is quite loose and simple and the edge works to a bit of a ruffle.
Knitting: Shawl / Wrap
This shawl is worked in one piece and can be made from just one 125g skein of Super 20. The pattern is available free with yarn purchases at Bulldog Krafts.
Knitting: Sleeveless Top, Cardigan
This garment can be made as either a cardigan or a waistcoat. You begin knitting it all in one piece so that the lace joins nicely and the lace panels are gradually reduced to just the front edge on the jumper.
Knitting: Shawl / Wrap
Super 20 is great for shawls as it is easy care, light weight and 1 skein goes a long way! The tulip lace pattern isn’t too difficult and the shawl just needs to be washed to find its finished shape.
Knitting: Poncho
This is an easy to knit poncho that looks great. The pattern is fairly simple but has room for your own embellishments. The neck size is quite wide but has a drawsting so it fits nicely. Knitting in the round means you have no fussy sewing to do at the end.
Knitting: Shawl / Wrap
This beautiful shawl makes use of a multicolour cotton yarn in the Butterfly Super 10 range. 5 individually dyed threads are wound together to create this amazing effect. The shawl pattern is quite simple to knit but lovely to wear.
Knitting: Pullover
This jumper has a double diamond pattern combined with a moss rib. The pattern has both crew and v-neck options. Knitting this in Butterfly Super 10 will give you good stitch definition and good wearability.
Knitting: Poncho
This poncho is worked from the top down in the round. It has a simple (drop stitch) lacy element to lighten the weight and the look. It can be knitted in solid colours but looks really amazing in the Super 10 multi-coloured yarns.
Knitting: Beanie, Toque
I designed this hat to match the Cadence Cardigan in Let’s Knit Issue 36, November 2010. Its quick and easy and you can brighten it up with a flower or a few stripes. Knitting with Butterfly Super 10 is great for kids because it goes in the washing machine and tumble dryer!
Knitting: Beret, Tam
This beret is pretty and can be made in a range of DK yarns. The supersoft cashmere is light weight yet warm so makes a good choice. The matching scarf or wrap is lovely to wear on a chilly day!
Knitting: Sleeveless Top, Tee
This is a fun knit - I have one customer who has now knitted this jumper in every colour of Super 20 that I sell! The lace is pretty and the bodice has a wide rib which is forgiving for your figure as well as for your tension.
Knitting: Shawl / Wrap
The triple panel shawl has two spines so it as simple as a two panel shawl but is a much fuller garment. This shawl is brilliant in Super 10 cotton as you don’t have to worry about spilling on it (a big problem for me…) or washing with any special care. The richness of Super 10 cotton really makes the shawl look impressive.
Knitting: Pullover
Super 20 cotton is between a 4-ply and double knit in weight. It is twisted quite tightly in the manufacturing process so it ‘fills out’ when it is first washed. The width measurements given in this pattern match the washed garment, before washing the width will usually measures a couple of inches less (the effect on length measurements is negl...
