Knitting: Cowl
My family loves our Vermont Winter vacations. The Brushwood Cowl chart is inspired by the kindling often used to ignite our warm fires during the cold Vermont Winter nights. This pattern is easily memorized, making it a great first-colowork project for beginners but also a wonderfully meditative project for seasoned knitters. And if you haven’t...

Hartshorne Woods is the local trail system where I often run and is the inspiration for this shawl. Most days around 1pm, you will find me sitting at an outdoor table at the Hudson Cafe, my favorite lunch spot.
Knitting: Pullover
Most people hate the rain, but I love it. Rain always gives me ‘permission’ to hang home and knit. I love to sit at home and listen to the rain while I throw on a good movie and knit all day. This stitch pattern reminds me of cascading drops, pooling together in puddles on the ground. Using the intarsia method to separate bands of color in cont...

Knitting: Baby Blanket
Simply put, this blanket is a vehicle for an amazing yarn. A garter stitch border and stockinette stitch boxes are an easy pattern for a beginner to master.
