This is a nice easy pattern, suitable for crocheters with experience of fairly basic stitches, it uses UK double, half-treble, treble, double-treble and half double-treble (the latter is not often used but is very easy, and explained in the pattern)

This blanket is based on a piece of artwork by Coralie Bickford-Smith, who is most known for designing the book covers for the Penguin Classics cloth bound editions, as well as writng and illustrating her own books.
