Jackson Square is a shallow, crescent-shaped shawl that’s worked from the top down, beginning with a garter tab cast-on. The neat columns of twisted ribbing in the body flow into a lacy point-and-spear edging reminiscent of the wrought iron fences bordering Jackson Square in New Orleans’ French Quarter.

The Occitan shawl’s semi-circular shape grows from a garter tab cast-on of just a few stitches and features a stockinette body with swirling increases that flow into the lacy edging.

Errata: Initial versions of the pattern listed the stitch count at the end of Row 6 as 26. The correct count is 29.

ERRATA January 2013: A fellow Raveler has pointed out that in the chart, on Row 16 (a WS row), the symbol in column 33 should be a purl stitch. Remember, though, because the stitch is worked on the wrong side of the piece, it’s worked as a knit.

Momijigari is a long and lean shawlette designed especially to showcase Dream in Color’s October 2011 Dream Club offering: a 52% Mohair / 48% Merino blend in a 3-ply fingering weight dyed in all the hues that herald Autumn’s arrival.

With a nod to Shetland lace shawl construction, Henslowe’s elongated shape, lacy curves and knitted-on edging strike a balance between practicality and style, traditional and modern.

Millwater is a nearly-reversible cowl/infinity scarf with generous proportions (that allow it to be doubled up for extra coziness), and featuring a super-squishy, ribbed, reversible cable — set asymmetrically against a garter stitch background.

A fellow Raveller was kind enough to point out that one of the crosses in Row 14 of the Decrease Chart is opposite what is shown on the finished hat. The chart was updated, and a revised pattern uploaded on 11.30.2011, so any patterns purchased after that date will contain the correct chart.

Featuring an ‘applied’ i-cord cast-on and bind-off and a simple, 4 row, 6 stitch lace repeat, Wright is a light and lacy cowl that can be worn either as a single, long loop, or doubled up for a bit of extra warmth and neck-cuddling snuggly-ness.

As many have already guessed, this is my interpretation of the hat worn by actress Sarah Shahi in the USA series Fairly Legal.
Knitting: Shawl / Wrap
A long, curved, short-row shawlette in garter stitch — with all of its wondrous, texture-y, squishy, warmth-giving goodness.
