Knitting: Shawl / Wrap
The shawl is inspired by the traditional Shetland shawls, which are characterized by construction without cast on and cast off edges.

The shawl is knitted around and steeked. The water lily motifs are knitted in an intarsia technique, which allows you to knit around. In short, it means that in every other round, you calculate the length of the yarn to be used for the motif, which makes it possible to knit from the “wrong” side.

The shawl is knitted in double knit, allowing you to use both sides of the shawl. It is knitted with Blackhill Highland wool, but there will of course be the opportunity to use other yarn types. However, it should be noted that the shawl is knitted fairly loose and yarn of pure wool will be most suitable.

The top is knitted in one piece without seams. For the models in the pattern is used different kinds of wool for a warm vest, but the design can as well be knitted of cotton or a similar materiel for a summer top.

For the skirt is used Evilla Artyarn 8/2, but you can as well use Kauni yarn or other qualities in the same thickness. The upper part of the skirt, around the hips, is knitted in ribbed knitting and the lower part in an eyelet pattern.
