SARAH HATTON has used a rustic yarn to create a sturdy, warm jumper with a slip stitch pattern around its yoke. The yarn is Ram Jam from Daughter of a Shepherd, which comes in four undyed shades. The first part of this scarf is given a gentle crescent shaping using short row shaping. A lace edge is then used to cast off stitches.

Is it a shawl? is it a shrug? No its both and more besides. This item can be worn as a shrug, shawl, bolero, waistcoat, cape, and poncho. The lace is simple to follow and has rest rows on every wrong side row.
