Retro Roller is a funnel shaped cowl that will cover your collar and collar bones then narrows around the neck and face.

The Boesemani cowl was designed to play with really wildly variegated yarns in a controlled, geometric, colorwork pattern. As the variegation goes from dark to light the colors seemingly shimmer in contrast to the background color like the scales of a Boesemani Rainbow Fish.

The Sea Crown Hat is a snug, tighter gauge beanie. The edge of the folded brim meets the bottom of the chart motif giving a crown-like appearance. It gave me King Triton vibes even though it looks nothing like his crown.

Light and Power is a large funnel-shaped cowl, inspired by a string of warm incandescent string lights. The chart is small and the pattern can be easily adjusted to be larger, smaller, longer or shorter.

A little over 2 years ago I, through a friend and former coworker, was contacted to make some scarves for a TV Pilot for a show called Happy! The pilot scarves were chaotic stripes with a pop of traditional pattern at the ends. The first of 2 were knit in a day. Let me tell you, that TV schedule is rough.

Yoonsi is a funnel shaped cowl with bands of garter stitch and colorwork made from either fingering or sport weight yarns.

The Screaming Floral Hat is a quick and easy beanie/toque with a loud, graphic floral pattern. The pattern is fun to knit in the summer and warm to wear in the winter.

The Bloomst cowl was created as a visual respite from the unusually cold winter. It is knit from the bottom up in a funnel shape so the bottom easily covers coat collars preventing any cold breeze from hitting the nape of the neck.

This March I stumbled onto some Korean TV on Netflix and it has sparked an obsession not seen since I discovered Battlestar Galactica. This hat is inspired by a hat worn in one of my favorite KDramas.

The Stellar Burst pattern includes instructions for a cowl and two sizes of hat.

The festive Twinklebaum hat can be knit using Bulky, Aran, or Dk weight yarns by adjusting the number of pattern repeats and gauge. The yardage, needle size and gauge for each size and yarn in included in the pattern.

Pumpkins on a Vine is a fully lined colorwork cowl. It is a very warm, thick cowl that creates a wall of knit fabric around your head to protect you from wind and cold temperatures. Instructions are for one size but the chart is small and repeatable so you can make the cowl as wide or as tall as you want.

The Baktiari hat can be knit as either a beanie or a slouch, in sizes large (22”) or small (18”). The large hat is knit using either aran weight or worsted weight yarn. The small hat is knit using either worsted weight or sport weight. Yardage depends on what style of hat you wish to make and whether or not you want a striped background. Yardag...

I have made this pattern free. It was inspired by the decor in Chinatown during the Lunar New Year celebrations, my favorite holiday in NY, and the displays in stores and restaurants. I think they are beautiful, but trying to make money off the imagery made me uneasy, so I have made the pattern free.

This is a big, chunky, plush cowl. It measures 12 inches high and 32 inches in circumference if knit according to the directions. The chart is only 16 stitches wide, making it very easy to adjust the circumference larger or smaller to suit your style. It is a companion pattern to the Pop Blossoms Hat and Mittens.

If your Halloween is anything like mine was growing up in CO you find yourself in desperate need of warm clothes to wear trick or treating. What better way to keep your hands nice and warm than a pair of Halloween mittens.

Heavy Worsted Weight version:

This pattern was developed after I received a Christmas request from my dad for a slouchy hat in deep blue with flashes of color like Van Gogh’s Starry Night. The short stretches of color were inspired by impressionist brush strokes.

Gauge worsted 22 stitches & 30 rows in 4 inches

This hat was inspired by the starry pictures from the Hubble telescope. It uses small charts that can be adjusted to make the hat larger or smaller, shorter or longer.

Remember the humble feet that step beneath and between the gears and gauges, pipes and screws— rust mechanical and elegant— that support the industrial city in silhouette against the blue of Gotham skies.

The background color, grey, requires 270 yards.
