My username is TheByrdsNest, and my website is the-byrds-nest.com.

I am a knitter, a designer of children’s toys, and an early childhood educator, and I have been designing under The Byrd’s Nest since 2008.

Growing up, I had two passions, making things by hand and stuffed animals, so once I learned I could knit toys, it was a perfect fit.

My early childhood background shapes everything I make. I design stuffed animals, blanket buddies, and loveys with real developmental purpose, soft textures to explore, a size made for little hands, and durability to survive years of hugs.

My own children have always been my greatest inspiration and my biggest fans, and some of my very first designs came straight from their drawings and their imaginations.
