A 1912 stitch pattern wasn’t working out, so I altered it to give it a more vertical look. There are 12 pattern rows with 10 of the rows just k2, p2 ribbing. The pattern is a multiple of 8 stitches. The 2 sides of this reversible pattern look different but I’ve included instructions for identical sides, if preferred.

Skills needed: cast on, knit, purl and bind off.

Gauge is not important in this pattern. Any block-able yarn/thread will work. Make a swatch to check gauge and appearance.

66 yards of Premier Home Cotton yarn will make 10 inches of a 40-stitch swatch at gauge.
