‘Tis the season and just for fun, here’s a simple garter-stitch strip with 2 yarns held together to make a huggie for an egg! It took just 1 hour to knit the strip! My huggie is 1.5 inches wide and 6 inches long.
Getting the correct strip dimensions for your egg is more important than gauge. A width of 1 to 1.5 inches will work and the length depends on the circumference of the egg. I used a “large” brown egg. A white egg would look good with brown yarns and ears. This project used just the furry half of “blush” yarn but use any furry yarn that appeals to you!
Silly, yes, but I hope this little project sparks some knitting ideas for you!

Skills needed: cast on, slip, knit and either bind off in knit stitch or sew live stitches to the cast-on stitches.

Gauge: the width and length of the strip are more important than gauge. Make a swatch to determine gauge.
