Inspired by Gresham’s Historic Downtown Carnegie Library, stitches worked in alternating rows, of front or back loops only, create an interesting texture that echoes the beautiful chevron brickwork of the library. Chevrons appear again in the architectural lace on the neck wrap’s lower edge. Try different colorways for a bolder or more subtle statement piece.
Yarn - Shown in 1 skein of Jitterbug by Colinette (100% merino wool, 400 yards/150g), color A, and 2 skeins Cascade 220 (100% Peruvian Highland Wool, 220 yards/100g), in Lilac Mist (color B) and Charcoal (color C). Garment is worked flat with colors A & B held together.
Notions - Locking stitch marker, tapestry needle.
Skill level - Advanced beginner (working through front/back post, lace edging).
