Chworktap is an easy sideways shawl: double increases on one side and single decreases on the opposite side create an elongated, curved shawl or scarf that can be worn in many ways. The shawl is completed with a border in contrasting colored garter stitch worked with a slightly different constructions. The stitches will be bound off in steps to accentuate the shape and to create shallow corners on the far edge. This transforms the scarf into a perfect half-moon.
Chworktap is knitted in supersoft Giza cotton from Borgo de’ Pazzi. This yarn, besides being very soft, is drapey and warm enough for spring or fall wear, or even to serve as a scarf in winter if you do not need superwarm clothing.

Chworktap è un facile scialle lavorato di traverso: aumenti doppi a un lato e singole diminuzioni dall’altro creano uno scialle o sciarpa allungato e ricurvo che può essere indossato in molti modi. Lo scialle è completato con un bordo a legaccio in tinta unita a contrasto, eseguito con una costruzione leggermente diversa. Le maglie vengono intrecciate poche per volta per accentuare la forma e dare un sottile margine traforato allo scialle. In questo modo la sciarpa prende la forma di una mezzaluna perfetta.
Chworktap è stato lavorato con il morbidissimo cotone non trattato Giza di Borgo de’ Pazzi. Questo filato, oltre a essere molto soffice, ha uno stupendo drappeggio ed è caldo abbastanza per essere usato in primavera e autunno, o in inverno se non siete freddolosi.
