Yarn Notes

Fingering or DK weight scraps both work beautifully.

Wool and wool blends block best and hold their shape well. Cotton yarns are generally not recommended because they tend to collapse and lose structure.

You do not need to match gauge exactly. The accessories rely on shaping rather than sizing, so different yarns and gauges still create wearable results.

Wet blocking makes a noticeable difference, especially for bows and ties. Pin firmly and allow to dry completely to reveal the final shape and drape.

Needles & Gauge

Needles range from US 4 (3.5 mm) to US 8 (5.0 mm) depending on the accessory and yarn weight.
DPNs, circular needles, or magic loop may all be used.

Because these are small accessories, strict gauge is not critical. Use a needle size that creates a fabric you like.
