ABOUT THE PATTERN
Fashion Sweater is a new interpretation of my earlier design, Fashion Top. This sweater is inspired by the legendary David Bowie, an artist I deeply admire and whose music has always touched my creative spirit. His constant reinvention and love for vibrant colour inspired me to design a piece that celebrates freedom, individuality, and artistic expression.

Colour 3 (C3): Hold together two strands of this yarn, approx. 10 (20, 30, 40, 50) (60, 70, 80, 90) g / 46 (93, 139, 185, 232) (278, 324, 370, 417) yds / 42 (85, 127, 170, 212) (254, 296, 338, 382) m. Recommended beads: Delica 8/0, round 6/0 or 5/0 and square 3 mm or 4 mm.

Needles and cables:
N1: US 8 / 5.0 mm circular needles, 16” / 40 cm and 32” / 80 cm long.

Notions:
Crochet hook for beading US 10 / 0.75 mm, Crochet hook for provisional cast on US H-8 / 5.0 mm, row counter (recommended), stitch marker, tapestry needle, waste yarn or 1 stitch holder, scrap yarn.

Gauge
14 sts x 22 rows = 4” / 10 cm. Measured over Stockinette stitch after blocking, worked flat with N1 and C1. Make an additional swatch in the rnd, as the gauge may vary between flat and rnd knitting. Adjust needle size if necessary to obtain the correct gauge for the body.

Notes
The garment features a relaxed, drop-shoulder construction and is worked from the top down. It begins with a provisional cast-on to work the back flat. Once the back is completed, stitches are picked up to work the fronts, which are then joined to the back to continue the body in the round. The sleeves are shaped directly from the armhole by picking up stitches and are worked in the round, creating a soft balloon-style silhouette. The design includes beaded motifs that resemble delicate “painted stains,” formed with beads of different sizes.
