These mitts are part of The Fir Tree Suite, consisting of Hat, Cowl and Mitts, all with the same Fir Tree motif incorporated.
The mitts are one size fits most, with enough ease, both positive and negative to fit most adult hands. You can go up or down a needle size for very large, or very small hands.
You will need approximately 100 yards of a light worsted yarn that will give you a gauge of approximately 20 stitches for 4 inches in stockinette in the round. I used Ella Rae Superwash Classic for the mitts pictured.
The motif uses a simple 1/1 cable, and so is suitable for someone just beginning cable knitting.

Both charts and fully written out directions are included for each hand.
