For this sock design, Bronagh Miskelly has used an interesting lace stitch called Fan and Bamboo, and it creates a smart pattern of mirrored triangles with horizontal lines of garter stitch. The stitch pattern is worked around the leg and the top of the foot, and extends down into the heel flap.
