The Interstripe Cardigan is a top-down, modular design worked flat. It begins with a back panel shaped with short rows, then stitches are picked up to work the front panels with additional shaping at the neckline.
At the underarm, the body is joined and knit flat in a three-color stripe pattern, finished with a ribbed hem and Tubular bind-off. The sleeves are picked up and worked flat, then seamed, and the ribbed cuffs mirror the hem. The button bands and neckline are worked in 1x1 rib.
This design is ideal for playing with color, using leftover yarn, or creating a vibrant, modern layering piece.
