♫ The Music ♫
The Killeigh Hornpipe was composed by John Brady (All-Ireland flute winner 1967) and is a jaunty tune that is sure to get your toes a tapping!

These toe-up socks come with two options for shaping the bar toe – a round toe and a narrow toe – so knitters can choose their best fit.

The main cable pattern is bracketed by double-moss stitch side panels reflecting the filler stitch of the cable pattern. The Killeigh stitch pattern is worked over the instep and subsequently over both the front and back leg. A trio of tiny cables decorates the gusset. The short-row heel cap means no picking up stitches and the heel flap is worked in a standard slip-stitch pattern. The top finishes with a 1 x 1 ribbing and a stretchy bind off.

The Killeigh stitch pattern is presented in charted and written format.
