Notes
This drop-shoulder pullover is knit flat from the bottom up. First, the back and fronts are knit individually before they are sewn together at the sides and shoulders. Next, stitches are picked up along the right front, neckline, and left front to work the decorative center panel. On completion of the decorative panel, the fronts are sewn together using the Three-Needle Bind-Off method and the v-neck is finished with a folded hem. The sleeves are knit in the round by picking up stitches at the underarm, followed by a decorative panel and a round of increases to form a puff sleeve. German short rows are used to shape the shoulders and puffed sleeves. The sleeves and body are finished with a folded hem.
Note that the decorative panel on the knit perpendicular to the main fabric, thus the ratio between the stitch and row gauge plays a vital role. With a gauge of 17 sts x 26 rows, it is recommended to pick up 3 sts for every 4 rows. To adjust body length, add or subtract a multiple of 8 rows to ensure you are able to pick up enough stitches to work full repeats of the decorative panel (multiple of 6 sts +1 st).
You may substitute LLI and RLI increases to M1R and M1L.
The sleeves can be knitted using the magic loop method, or using DPNs.
If markers are not mentioned, slip them when you reach them.

Note
ボトムアップ, 往復編みで編むセーター . 後ろ身頃, 左右前身頃は別々に編 み, 肩と脇をとじる. 右前端, 襟ぐり, 左前端から目を拾い装飾パネルを編 み, 左右前身頃を引き抜きはぎでとじる. 袖ぐりから目を拾い輪で編みなが ら装飾パネルを編み, 増目しパフスリーブを作る.
襟, 裾, 袖口は2重になっている. また, 肩とパフスリーブはGerman short rowsによる引き返し編みをしている.
前身頃の装飾パネルは身頃本体に対して垂直に編まれているので, 目数と 段数のゲージを合わせることが重要となる. 指定のゲージでは, 4段ごとに 3目拾うことを推奨している.
また, 装飾パネルは6の倍数+1目で構成されているため, 身頃の丈を調整す る場合は必ず8の倍数の段数で調整すること.
LLIとRL1はM1RとM1Lに置き換えることができる. 袖はマジックループもしくは4本棒針で編む.
パターン内に特に明記がなくとも, マーカーがあれば都度移動させながら 編むこと.
