This tunic pattern accompanies the Special Topics in Finishing article on live stitch hems. It uses two ways to do a live stitch hem. Worked from the bottom up, stitches are cast on using a provisional cast-on technique. The inside of the hem is then worked. Next, a picot turning row is worked, and then the stitches for the outside of the hem are worked. On the last row, the stitches from the provisional cast on are transferred to a second needle and those stitches are knit together with the stitches on the first needle.

The sleeves have a hemmed cuff. Since the sleeves are worked from the armhole to the cuff, the cuff stitches are left live and grafted to the inside of the cuff.

The tunic features the same simple eyelet pattern as the Linen Lace Skirt.
