This hat was inspired by a Victorian lockplate I found. And I just had to find the key for it. So, I did.

This is a fairly quick and simple knit, done in the round from the bottom up, and is appropriate for an advanced beginner learning basic cables, slipped, and twisted stitches. It can be made in sizes Sm, M, or Lg, depending on the number of motif repeats used.

There is also a matching cowl and fingerless mitts, using the same lock and key design.

This pattern contains both a chart and written instructions. The instructions for the chart are completely written out.
