Stripes of different colors can be made by stringing the beads with a bit of planning and (of course!) counting.

FINGERING WEIGHT uses 25 (27, 29, 31, 33, 35) yards and
408 (456, 492, 540, 588, 636) size 8/0 seed beads*
Hook size B, gauge of 7 sc = 1”

SPORT WEIGHT uses 14 (15, 16, 17, 18, 19) yards and
224 (248, 272, 296, 320, 344) size 6/0 seed beads*
Hook size D, gauge of 6 sc = 1”

Other materials needed: a 1/2”-3/4” button, a large eye beading needle or dental floss threader.
