Maggie’s Shawl
This shawl has been designed as a charity pattern to raise money for Maggie’s Centre at the Churchill Hospital in Oxford, UK (Registered Charity Number SC024414) Maggies.org. Maggie’s is a lovely place where cancer patients and their families can receive counselling and support or just a friendly face with a cup of tea and a biscuit. We praise them for everything they do and hope that this shawl pattern conveys some of the gratitude we feel for the service they provide.

The shawl is created by knitting from tip to tip so you never have too many stitches on your needle. The main body of the shawl is garter with a simple slip stitch and lace border along the lower edge and an i-cord along the top. The pattern was designed in fingering weight yarn but could be knit in a variety of yarn weights. However more yarn may be required.
