“Orion’s Belt” is a shallow crescent shawlette knitted top-down in Finch 100% wool by Quince&Co.
The colours used for sample are Kumlien’s Gull (2.5 skeins) and Winesap (1 skein)

The changing texture and use of two colours makes it interesting and engaging knit.
It is shaped using short rows. The slip stitch technique used for the part of border design gives a very unusual effect as it also requires little of stitch crossing (can be done with or without cable needle).

“Orion’s Belt” can be knitted in a variety of different yarns, however, for best effect yarn containing at least 50% wool is suggested.

The pattern is written only and easy to follow. Even knitters of basic skills should be able to do it easily.

Wear it as a scarf or a shoulder cover over any outfit!
