Captivating cables!! Owen is so interesting to knit with it’s contiguous top down construction and disappearing and appearing cables. The construction is a modified version of the contiguous set-in sleeves method developed by Susie Myers. The cables are based on cables from Norah Gaughan’s book Knitted Cable Sourcebook.

Modeled in size 35.25”/88 cm with slight positive ease at the bust.
Materials:
Yarn: Stolen Stiches Nua Worsted; 60% wool, 20% yak, 20% linen; 109 yds/100m per 50g skein; Harvest Moon, 7 (8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 16) skeins; 720 (780, 965, 1060, 1115, 1255, 1360, 1470, 1540, 1665, 1730) yds; 660 (720, 885, 975, 1025, 1155, 1250, 1345, 1415, 1525, 1590) m
Needles: Size 4/3.5mm 24”/60 cm (or longer) circular needle and set of 4 or 5 double-pointed needles.
Other: 13 stitch markers (3 colors or types – see Note below), cable needle, stitch holders or waste yarn, tapestry needle.
Gauge: 20 sts and 28 rnds = 4”/10 cm in Stockinette Stitch.
20 sts = 2.75 inches in Saddle Chart pattern (one pattern repeat)
Notes: This pullover is constructed from the top down in one piece with saddles, using the contiguous method. There is a lot going on in the beginning, but as you proceed the increases slow down. There are notes within the pattern to guide you. There is no body shaping past the armholes, but the cables do add some natural shaping. The length of the body and sleeves is adjustable.
