As you knit this shawl the cables in this pattern look like some fabulous tree with the branches dividing, tangling and climbing over each other, ending with a spreading canopy of cellular stitch lace. This, however, is transformed with blocking into a giant flower head with a multitude of petals.

The pattern is elegantly simple and easy to memorize. It is charted using StitchMastery and includes full written instructions.

The shawl shape is approximately 5/8 of a circle which allows it to sit easily your shoulders. Each wing in the sample measures 29” (73.5 cm) from the centre and the shawl is 25” (63.5 cm) deep.

There is an option in the pattern to work an extra 4 rows if your yarn allows.
