Pine Trees
The pattern for this sweater accompanies the Skill Building article on horizontal seams. This is a bit of a stretch as the only horizontal seams are the very narrow shoulder seams. The sweater is knit in one piece to the armholes, then the right back, left back, and front are worked separately. The bottom edge uses a lace pattern I am calling pine trees, and the sparkles in the yarn reminds me of snow. I think it would make a lovely holiday sweater.
I designed a garment for the Spring 2020 issue that has this same basic silhouette but no sleeves. I am very fond of sweaters that button in the back. The sleeves of this fitted sweater are worked top down and include a repeat of the lace pattern.
