This short, boxy jacket accompanies the Skill Building article which discusses border patterns. Notice that the Skill Level for this jacket is either Easy or Complex. The sample shows the Complex version which includes a pleat in the center of the back and pockets. The pattern provides directions for both.

One of my pet peeves about jackets that do not button is that the fronts are frequently not wide enough. To solve this problem, these fronts have an additional nine stitches added for the front bands which are worked the same time as the fronts. The jacket is designed with 4” of ease so that it can easily be worn over a blouse.

The sleeves use the top-down, short-row technique.
