The shawl is knitted from the inside out, with increases both in two columns close to the centre and at the edges, which give the form of a crescent. The pattern is mostly stocking stitch with a row of garter stitch at irregular intervals. The shawl is embellished with a sewn-on trim of bobbles at the outer border.
