Reversible Voar Cowl
Voar means spring in Shetland dialect.
This cowl is a celebration to the spring, with a splash of combinations of the soft but jolly spring colours of our Meal range. It is worked in a two-colour brioche stitch in the flat, which makes it a reversible fabric, with a light, flowery side and a darker, denim side. It features an i-cord edge around the borders that gives it an elegant finish. The provisional cast-on makes for an invisible join in the round.
The pattern is for jumperweight yarn, but can also be applied to double knit or aran, though this will affect the size and dimensions of the cowl.

Circular needles/DPNS, 3mm. For brioche stitches you will need circulars or DPNs; straight needles will not work. If you choose a different yarn weight you need to alter your needle size accordingly.
Crochet hook for casting on, 3.5mm. If you alter the yarn weight and needle size, make sure that your crochet hook is at least 0.5mm bigger than your knitting needle size.
