With colorwork vaguely reminiscent of the linear patterns found in Indigenous pottery, basketry, and weavings in the Pacific Northwest and other regions of the continent, this pullover was inspired by the plains and prairies of the American West, the birthplace of High Desert yarn.

Sage Plains is knit seamlessly from the top down. A band of stranded colorwork embellishes the lower part of the yoke. Short rows shape the neckline. The neck, cuffs, and hem are finished with 2x2 Rib.

Colorwork pattern is written and charted.
