Sizes to fit: one size; by modifying gauge, different sizes can be obtained, to fit most adult heads.
Final measurements (unstretched, hat laying flat):
Purple sample: height: 20.5 cm / 8”; circumf at brim: approx 34 cm / 13.25”.
White sample: height: 23 cm / 9,25”; circumf at brim: approx 41 cm / 16.25”.
Samples are worn on a 56 cm / 22.25” head.

Gauge:
Purple sample: 28 sts x 32 rounds = 10 cm /4” with 3.5 mm (US 4) needle in 1 x 1 twist ribbing after blocking.
White sample: 23 sts x 28 rounds = 10 cm /4” with 3.75 mm (US 5) needle in 1 x 1 twist ribbing after blocking.

Yarn: approximately 200 metres / 218 yards of DK/Worsted weight yarn. Yarn used for the purple sample: UrthYarns Harvest Worsted 100% Superwash Merino, 206 m (225 yrds)/100 gr, color Black Grape, 1 skein. Yarn used for the white sample: Knitting for Olive Heavy Merino 100% Merino wool, 125 m (137 yrds)/50 gr, color Oearl Grey, 1.5 skein.

Needle: Purple sample: 3.5 mm (US 4) and 3.75 mm (US 5) or needle size needed to obtain the gauge, DPNs size 3.75 mm (US 5) one set. White sample: 3.75 mm (US 5) and 4 mm (US 6) or needle size needed to obtain the gauge, DPNs size 4 mm (US 6) one set.
