In the Fall 2019 issue, I designed a pair of fingerless mitts to accompany the Special Topics in Finishing article. I enjoyed the project so much and, since I had two skeins left, I decided to make a matching hat.

The hat band uses the same stitch pattern as the mitts, but it is worked flat. It is then blocked and seamed and stitches are picked up to work in the round for the hat.
