Spottie Dottie Socks
Pattern Description from Cast On, February-April 2009: “These socks use the stranded techniques to create the alternating spots. The choice of Noro Kureyon Sock yarn for the spots makes the socks fun to knit. The socks will not match and you never know what color will come next. The thin and thick nature of the yarn gives the spots additional texture. The socks are knit from the toe up and feature short row heels. Since stranded work is less elastic than plain stockinette, the top portion of the cuff is knit using larger size needles. The choice of needle type is up to the knitter. Although the pattern specifies double pointed needles, one or two circular needles may be substituted.”
