Just right for the changing season, I wanted to create a pair of mittens worked in sock weight yarn to keep me cosy when out and about.
Finished measurements are approx. 19cm (7 1/2 in) around and 22cm (8 1/2 in) long. This means that there’s a generous drape at the cuff and the fit is perfect for an average size adult lady’s hand.
Worked in the round with a super easy to work thumb, I have worked to make sure that the sewn-off ends fall in hidden places in wear.
I have written the pattern to be printed on both sides of an A4 piece of paper (flipped on short side) so that it can be folded to form a handy leaflet.
The yarn I chose is super beautiful and I struggled to decide which shade to use, but any sock weight yarn will work and I’m looking forward to experimenting with stripes on my next pair - let the holiday knitting commence!!
