The Stella mitten is a traditional Scandinavian mitten, knitted in colourwork with wool yarn. It has a sophisticated and well crafted cuff that is knitted with a provisional cast on, a lining, picot folded border and a corrugated rib in two colours. The mitten has a thumb gusset and a pointed top and a different colourwork pattern on the inside than on the outside.
After knitting the mitten, horisontal embroidered chain stitches are added for decoration on the cuff. The pattern is described in text as well as charted.

Measurements
Circumference 22 cm

Needles
DPN’s or circular needle to obtain gauge. Suggestion: 2.0 - 2.5 mm. An additional circular needle to attach the lining.

Crochet needle
A crochet hook for making the stitches in the provisional cast on. Size is not important, approximately 2 - 4 mm works fine.

Yarn
Rauma finull 175 m/ 50 g or another yarn with the same meterage that gives the correct gauge.
