Pattern description from Interweave Knits, Winter 2006:
A velvety yarn catches the light and shows off the tilted stitches in the chevron pattern used for the body of this simple tunic. You create the tunic’s flared shape by casting on and working a few rows with a large needle, then changing to smaller needles as you work your way to the top. It’s a breeze to knit: the stitch pattern is easy to memorize, and the front and back are identical.

Finished Size: 30 (34, 38, 42, 46½, 50½)“ bust circumference.

Yarn: Muench Touch Me (72% rayon microfiber, 28% wool; 61 yd [56 m]/50 g): #3603 dark teal, 6 (7, 8, 9, 11, 12) balls.

Needles: Sizes 10 (6 mm), 9 (5.5 mm), 8 (5 mm), 7 (4.5 mm), and 6 (4 mm): straight. Adjust needle size if necessary to obtain the correct gauge.

Notions: Stitch holders; removable marker or waste yarn; tapestry needle.
