ABOUT THE PATTERN
The Turquoise Trail Shawl begins with stockinette stitch and simple increases then flows into the southwest-inspired textured cable panels that evoke both cabochons of turquoise and trails. This shawl is a top-down shawl worked in DK weight yarn. “Cabochons” are formed with Lifted-Over Knot Stitches and the “trails” are simple 2/2 cables. The Turquoise Trail Shawl uses the same textured cable panels as my Turquoise Trail Pullover and Cowl. The Turquoise Trail is an easy day trip along national scenic byways in New Mexico starting from either Albuquerque or Santa Fe.
