Yuksan | shoulder bag
Are you ready for some travels? This pattern is part of a collection of 9 tiles with nine individual accompanying designs. You can buy them separately or get them all at a great discount in the Travelling East Collection. Enjoy!
There has been a thing missing in the Travelling East Collection! It is a proper bag. If there is one thing we can do with afghan blocks, it is turning them into all sorts of bag shapes. Here is Yuksan, the sixth tile in this series.
Each tile in the collection comes with an accompanying triangle (to give you the freedom to use your squares as diamonds in cushions or blankets). It also comes with an original design to showcase the many possibilities we have to turn these tiles into different type of objects. Some will be small and simple, some will be larger and require some more time. The collection of patterns will give you options and suggestions.
The design accompanying the Yuksan tile is a shoulder bag. I have also added two types of straps one can make with this bag, one using an interesting foundation cord, the other dipping into Tunisian crochet (with a regular crochet hook). And this design makes use of the triangle as a part of the bag, why design all these triangles if not to use them eh? Enjoy!
