Knitting: Baby Blanket
Welcome to my new design. I designed and knit this baby blanket/shawl for my best friend’s baby who was born safely last December.
Knitting: Cape
Turquoise is by far my favourite colour on the planet. This beautiful cape is knit in two shades, that when placed beside each other, make my mouth water. How can blue look warm? It has such a vibrant heat to it that I can’t stop looking at it
Knitting: Scarf, Shawl / Wrap

Knitting: Shawl / Wrap
I bought this beautiful merino fingering weight yarn while I was at one of the most romantic weddings I have ever been to. The location was the stunning Gougane Barra in County Cork in Ireland and I found the yarn in a gorgeous wee yarn shop in Bantry the next day.
Knitting: Bookmark
A cute little bookmark designed and knit for a knitting class in my local library. The class was an hour and a half long and I wanted a small project that could be completed in that time. It has a pretty scalloped edge and a leafy lace design. Treat your books to a proper page marker!

Knitting: Shawl / Wrap
This beautiful Shetland lace shawlette is made from one skein of either lace or sock yarn. In my samples, I used yarns with a silk content so that the drape and softness of the finished shawl is gorgeous! You will not be able to stop wearing it
Knitting: Coaster
Dainty little lace coaster to grace the chicest coffee tables. Knit in cotton for easy care and laundering, the Heritage Coaster uses a beautiful old Shetland Lace Motif in it’s centre giving it a modern twist. Simple and quick to knit, it only needs under 10g of yarn to complete.
Knitting: Kerchief
Katydid is a small garter stitch kerchief knit from side to side with a knit on edging that is knit at the same time as the body of the kerchief. Pretty swirls, hearts, butterflies and flowers adorn this little triangular scarf. It is made to be worn around the neck or head and pinned with a brooch or an ornate button. A great little stash bust...
Knitting: Scarf
I grew up beside the Kiltipper Road in Dublin, and spent many happy days walking along the tree lined road, past the farms and up to Masseys Estate and the Hell Fire Club. This is my tribute to my childhood.

The Madeleine Shawl is the first featured design by lace knitter Aisling Doonan aka Rubysasha. It is knitted using 1 skein of hand dyed 4ply/sock yarn and it is a perfect cover up for those long Summer evenings, draped over your shoulders. The lace design opens up beautifully when blocked.
Knitting: Cowl
This pretty little cowl is inspired by an old Shetland Lace pattern from a Victorian knitting pattern. It is knit in the round with every row knit, making it a nice relaxing project. Perfect for Summer to snuggle up with when the evenings get a bit chilly.

Knitting: Cowl
This is an interesting and textured cowl that starts with a provisional cast on for the bottom edging, which is knit back and forth flat on two needles. When the edging is complete you graft the cast on to the live stitches at the end to make a circle. From here the stitches for the body of the cowl are picked up and knit in the round. It is fi...
Knitting: Poncho
I adore poncho’s, they are so easy to make and effortless to wear. There is nothing nicer than popping one on on a cool Summer’s Eve or just when the office air conditioning gets a little too brisk.

Knitting: Shawl / Wrap
Welcome to my Sealtainn Square Shawl pattern. I have loved lace and shawls for most of my life and I didn’t realise that I was searching for Shetland Lace until I found it. Thoroughly captivated by the beautiful motifs and geometric designs designed and made by women on Shetland, I have been happily knitting and planning an epic shawl of my own...

Knitting: Shawl / Wrap
Solstice is a beautiful triangular shawl knit in cobweb weight wool, inspired by a trip to see the Stone Age Passage Tomb in Newgrange, Co. Meath during the Winter Solstice last year. Unfortunately, the fog didn’t allow the light to travel up the passageway but the shawl is light and warm and makes up for my disappointment!
Knitting: Scarf
Twirl was inspired by the Golden Ratio or the Fibonacci Sequence. It is knit from the top down, starting with a moss stitch border, with each sequence growing row by row in a plain stocking stitch beginning, that naturally flows down to a garter stitch striped lace section. The scarf is finished with a deep knit on edging which only leaves you ...
