Tif Neilan
Hi, I’m Tif!
I am a Knitwear and Interior Designer based in New England. Nestled in CT, I share my home with my husband, two daughters, and our lovable Labrador Retrievers boys.
My journey began with a foundation in Interior Design, where I earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Drexel University in Philadelphia. While designing interior spaces and crafting apparel may seem worlds apart, I’ve found profound similarities in my creative approach. Whether I’m curating a living space or designing knitwear, I emphasize the interplay of color, pattern, and texture to evoke visual harmony.
I love exploring different textural stitch patterns, with herringbone stitch being a personal favorite. I enjoy blending these textured details with simplicity to achieve a balanced aesthetic that captivates the eye. My goal is to create patterns that engage knitters throughout the creative process, without overwhelming complexity.
For me, knitting is an art form where each pattern is a canvas, inviting knitters to weave their own narrative without words. It’s a beautiful form of self-expression.
