Auroral Scarf
Inspired by the simple beauty of the movement of the lights in the sky caused by the random collisions of particles from the sun with the earth’s atmosphere.
Throws of a die were used to recreate this random effect in the design of this scarf.
You can knit the scarf replicating the die throws as given in the pattern instructions, but it is much more fun and addictive to create your very own unique scarf applying the unique option ‘rules’ for your own die throws.
The fabric is thick and drapey, and both sides are attractive. As the pattern is asymmetrical the scarf may end when it is the required length or you run out of yarn.
Stitches used: k, k1b
