Designer Notes:
This hat has four sections. Each section consists of two cable stitch patterns; a diamond pattern on a rev. St. st background and a 9 st. vertical cable with a centered bobble, also on a rev. St. st. background. The cable patterns are separated by a column of a single slip stitches. Since the appearance of this ribbing has a right and a wrong side, the body of the work is turned at the half way point in the ribbing. What was the RS, is now the WS and when it’s turned up only the RS of the ribbing will show on the public side. There is no need to mirror the decreases on the diamond motif as they are nearly invisible with decreasing. The pom-pom is optional.
