Named after the word for flight in Welsh, Ehediad is a simple lace cowl, worked in the round. The cowl begins with a deep border of twisted rib, which transitions into lace chevrons and then into a series of patterns inspired by birds in flight.

This pretty lace crescent shawl is knitted from the top down and starts with a simple eyelet top edge. The body of the shawl is then worked in stocking stitch, with short rows to create a curved shape. A lace border is then worked along the bottom edge, finishing with a picot cast off.
