A lovely stockinette stitch crescent is wrapped in a heavily textured, asymmetrical edging. The heavy texture of the edge creates visual interest and drama.

This shawl is knit in alternating left and right side strips with stitches picked up along the selvedge edge of the previous strip. The result is a more traditional triangular shawl with a curved upper edge.
