Stockholm shawl is worked top-down, beginning with a I-cord cast on for a seamless edge. It grows outward with symmetrical increases, forming a crescent shape. The body features a mix of stockinette stitch, textured sections, and eyelet details, adding both visual interest and meditative repetition.
The design allows for color customization—it can be knitted in one color or multiple colors, depending on personal preference. If using more than one color, simply change the yarn at the end of a section where the previous yarn runs out.
The shawl finishes with a clean bind-off, ensuring a soft drape. Blocking is recommended to enhance the fabric’s openness and shape.
