When knitting colorwork, remember to keep your floats loose so the knitted fabric does not pull inwards. Consider catching floats every 1 - 2 stitches to prevent inadvertent snagging on the WS. To eliminate additional bulk and conserve yardage, cut yarns when not used for multiple rnds.

To avoid a noticeable jog when changing colors, on the first stitch of the second row of the new color, lift the stitch below onto the left hand needle (it will be the previously used color) and knit it together with the next stitch.

More slouch can be added to the crown by adding more rounds before starting the crown shaping. A double strand of Apu (CC) is used to achieve the same gauge as Eco Puna Black (MC)

Mittens are worked with a double strand of Apu and are worked in the round from the bottom up. The pattern stitch instructions are both written and charted.
Knitting: Headband
The headband is knit flat and then seamed. You begin with working parts 1 & 2 at the same time, with separate balls of yarn. Next you join parts 1 & 2 and work across all stitches for part 3. Finally, you split the work again, join another ball of yarn and work sections 4 & 5. The magic happens in how the piece is seamed.

The mitts are worked in the round to the thumb opening. The thumb opening is created by working in rows, and turning at the end of each row. After reaching the desired thumb opening length, the mitt is continued in the round.

The bag is knit in the round from the bottom up. Lining the bag with fabric is recommended for stability.

The basket is meant to be somewhat slouchy, but the fabric is quite dense to create a firm fabric. 2 strands of yarn are held together throughout.
Knitting: Mid-calf Socks
Leg of socks are knit with a larger needle for more slouch. Two entire hanks were used for the socks. The third hank was used for the embellishments.

Apu is worked with a double strand throughout necklace. Work from the inside and outside of the ball or wind a second ball of equal weight. The entire ball of Apu was used for the necklace.

The asymmetrical wrap is knit lengthwise, a circular needle is used to accommodate the large number of stitches. Wedges are shaped using German short rows. Sew a seam on the narrow end for a single sleeve.

Wrap is worked flat from one end to the other. A simple knit/purl textured stitch pattern is added to one edge to adorn the front when worn. Button and button loop are added after completing the wrap.
