The inspiration for ranke came from the old wallpaper at a concert venue, and as I started working with the pattern, turning it into a knitted pattern my mind kept revolving around wreaths of apples.

This pattern is many things rolled into one:

gitte is a cardigan, worked seamlessly, top-down. It combines the shaping techniques of the round and raglan yoke.

olga is a jumper, worked seamlessly, top-down. The lace pattern of the round yoke is an abstract interpretation of an icicle, and the asymmetry of it adds interest to the yoke.

sara is a traditional jumper, constructed in a very traditional way, knitted bottom-up in 3 pieces, but the stitch pattern is very untraditional.

tine, the crescent shawl is worked seamlessly, top-down.

ulla is a jumper worked bottom-up in 4 pieces, that are seamed together. This is to ensure that the cabled pattern keeps the same look throughout. The cables have been made lighter by adding eyelets to them.

dorte is a fitted vest, worked seamlessly, bottom-up in one of the easiest two-colour brioche patterns.

thor er en klassisk, enkel sweater i ensfarvet patent med snoninger. For at gøre strikning af patentet, så nem som mulig er trøjen strikket i fire dele, som efterfølgende er syet sammen.

Longstream is a multi-technique shawl, that I designed for you to try out different techniques. You could see it as a way to improve your skills as you go, and at the same time get something beautiful to wear afterwards.

ChrØ was created for a weekend retreat at the eastern most island of Denmark, Christians Ø. The theme for the retreat was brioche and double knitting.

There is something about the combination of two different materials in the same project, that gives such a neat result.

Entrelac has always fascinated me, and by adding texture it becomes an even more interesting technique.

oda was my mother’s aunt, who I only knew from photos and via the things that were passed down to my mother from her. Oda was a strong, rebellious, independent woman, who had style and class.

Ida was my maternal grandmother, who liked to wear bold colours, and preferably in untraditional combinations of colour. My grandmother was a traditionalist, but was up for changing details.

Frida was my mother’s aunt, who lived by herself for many years, and was one of a kind. My memories of her include soft biscuits and too old soft drinks.

I love color work and textures equally. And I like when the neck opening isn’t too tight. You’l find both in this garment. It’s knitted top-down, which allowes you to make it shorter or longer if you want.

I love color work that’s not just flat, but has texture to it.

Last summer I met Alexander Biscuits. He gave me a skein of his hand spun and encouraged me to knit with it and create a ‘man project’.

reminiscence of summers, long walks on the beach, fields in bloom, the blue ocean, the green fields…

wristcables is an easy one night pattern and it’s a great pattern for cable beginners.

Kunstnart is an easy to knit pattern for you to display and wear your beautiful handspun, textured, bulky art yarns. It can also be knitted in one single colour, with or without art yarn.

tulp is a cowl and wristwarmer set knitted in the round. It’s the perfect project to try out different ways of knitting in the round, since the textured pattern isn’t wery difficult, but still interesting enough to keep you engaged.

the long vest is perfect for wearing in the spring when you’re working in the garden. It gives the extra layering heat on those chilly nights.

angula is daring men’s t-shirt. It has different sleeves on either side and it’s knit entirely in silk, using the tweeded silk as MC and the silk with the sheen as CC to make the jaipur silk pop even more.

angula is a reversible women’s t-shirt. You can wear the raglan sleeve at either side.

rachel is a light weight deluxe project. It is easy to knit and a real pleasure to wear. Knit in pure mink yarn and edged at bottom and top in handspun tailspun alpaca or angora.

Spikelet is going to be a KAL in the vithard group from pattern release till the end of the year, 2012.

A 70’s looking vest for boys and girls. It is made in a worsted or aran weight yarn. I have knit this several times in all wool yarn and in wool blends, and every time it works up beautifully.

oskar is a one-night-project. It is super-easy to knit, even for the not-so-experienced knitter, since the seamless folded hem is explained in a photo tutorial.

alma is a hat fit for mothers and daughters. It is striped in a pattern that is fun and easy to knit, and pops in an intriguing way, especially when knit in bright colours.

claus is a mens and womens hat, that comes in two shapes. It has a overall textured pattern that is easily remembered and so fun that it makes you want to do just one more pattern repeat.

richardis is a pair of mittens filled with colourwork to use up some of those leftovers. The pattern calls for 8 different colours, from which you’ll use between 3 and 50 grams.

classic vest for your man; your husband, boyfriend or son, or you. I used a 100% wool as MC and a wool-silk blend as CC, which made the sheen of the silk stand out even more.

skirt is knitted top-down, which gives you opportunity to adjust the length to your taste. I am really impressed with the look of the honeycomb pattern, in Danish called sømandsbobler (sailor bubbles), traditionally used on guernseys.
