Knitting: Scarf
The inspiration for ranke came from the old wallpaper at a concert venue, and as I started working with the pattern, turning it into a knitted pattern my mind kept revolving around wreaths of apples.

gitte is a cardigan, worked seamlessly, top-down. It combines the shaping techniques of the round and raglan yoke.

olga is a jumper, worked seamlessly, top-down. The lace pattern of the round yoke is an abstract interpretation of an icicle, and the asymmetry of it adds interest to the yoke.

sara is a traditional jumper, constructed in a very traditional way, knitted bottom-up in 3 pieces, but the stitch pattern is very untraditional.

ulla is a jumper worked bottom-up in 4 pieces, that are seamed together. This is to ensure that the cabled pattern keeps the same look throughout. The cables have been made lighter by adding eyelets to them.

dorte is a fitted vest, worked seamlessly, bottom-up in one of the easiest two-colour brioche patterns.

A 70’s looking vest for boys and girls. It is made in a worsted or aran weight yarn. I have knit this several times in all wool yarn and in wool blends, and every time it works up beautifully.

claus is a mens and womens hat, that comes in two shapes. It has a overall textured pattern that is easily remembered and so fun that it makes you want to do just one more pattern repeat.

richardis is a pair of mittens filled with colourwork to use up some of those leftovers. The pattern calls for 8 different colours, from which you’ll use between 3 and 50 grams.
