I started knitting when I was 5 years old, after watching my mom hand knit hundreds of intarsia sweaters for orders each year. After begging my mom to let me learn, the very first item I made was a very mis-shaped Barbie(TM) Blanket! Despite being quite young, I fell in love with knitting and all the joy it gave me to make things with my hands.

Over the years, I continued to knit as a hobby, making my first (wearable) sweater at age of 10 and designing my first pattern in my early teens. When I went away to university, I found it very difficult to find the time (or money) to fit in knitting, but once I graduated I dove in full force and quickly picked up where I left off. Since that time, I have had the amazing opportunity to teach knitting at my Local Yarn Store, provide private lessons, take advanced knitting classes through Olds College and Vogue Knitting Live and just recently, started designing my own pieces. I really love sharing my knitting passion with others, and whether that’s through participating in group chats, helping out newer knitters or sharing a design, it brings me much joy to be part of the process.
