The Wizard is a colourful crocheted doll with a hot cauldron that is a part of my collection of characters from two fairy tales for children.

I wrote this tutorial for a sewn doll. The pattern is adaptable for larger/smaller doll feet by using thinner/thicker yarn and smaller/bigger hook.

This is a so called “garden” type of hat, with a flat top, and a wide, flat brim.

Edit: Please, check the corrected version of these instructions if you have saved the pattern. I spotted several mistakes in the knitted part of the shawl, namely, the stockinette and garter stitches as well as the number of repeats. Sorry for the inconvenience.
